Middle Fork River Boat Access

This multi-phase project provided vehicular access to the scenic Middle Fork River. This project required the preparation of plans and specifications to relocate and upgrade the road to the launch area. Project included embankment and drainage work. At the launch area, a ramp, restroom facilities, and parking areas also were installed. In the second phase of this project, finished pavement surface and restroom facilities were designed and constructed. This project is located in an environmentally sensitive area which required special considerations to assure compatibility with the surrounding area.

Woodland Park, Urbana

This project consisted of the development of a long-range comprehensive development plan for an 80-acre park. A new entrance drive and parking lot were designed. Project included removing existing crushed-stone parking area that was recycled by incorporating it into the new base material. The pavement was eight inches of aggregate and two inches of bituminous asphalt. Disturbed earth areas were seeded. Drainage, lighting, restrooms, two baseball fields, and general play areas also were included in this project.

Track Resurfacing, Parkland College

S&A provided the design, surveying, specifications and bid documents for the Parkland College track resurfacing. The track was resurfaced using recycled tires grant.

Crystal Lake Park Basketball Courts and Parking Lot, Urbana

Rehabilitated portion of existing parking lot and designed new parking lot in Crystal Lake Park. Asphalt bikeways and parking lots were designed to accommodate the large number of users of this urban park. Basketball courts, street lighting, landscaping, and drainage improvements completed the project.
